Week 1: Introduction / Functional Matrix / The Three Tiers

In order to have optimal health, we need to cultivate an optimal internal environment. In this session, you'll learn exactly how Functional Nutrition can help you build a strong foundation for longterm wellness.

Week 2: Preparing Your Body for Success / Brain-Gut Axis / Intro to Sugar Crowd Out

To cultivate healthy soil, we want to remove certain substances that are "muddying the waters" meaning, they may not be contributing to our most fertile inner environment. We will talk about how to begin this process of crowding out in a compassionate, sustainable, and safe way.

Week 3: Mapping Food Story / Understanding the Functional Matrix 

Generated by a series of factors such as family, ethnicity, politics, religion, education, socioeconomics, and media, we all develop stories and beliefs around food that drive our behaviors. In order to make sustainable dietary and lifestyle changes, we need to unravel our story and map it onto the matrix. We shift from "why me" mentality to "oh, ME!" mentality.

Week 4: Understanding Macros, Micros / Hunger and Hormones / Poop

In this session, you'll learn all about fats, protein, and carbs. What are they and why do we need them? How much of each do we need? You'll walk away from the session understanding the core basics of nutrition, hunger, and poop (a key detox mechanism).
